No Gayle again as India looks to end on a high

Kingston. India would like to sign off the five match one day series against West indies with a win here at Sabina Park. A 4-1 scoreline looks much more dominant than 3-2, also a win in the last one day game will do a world of good for team India the test series which starts from June 20.

Stakes are high for Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma and S Badrinath as this is their last chance to prove their mettle before the test series. There are two slots in the middle order up for grabs in the longer version of the game.

Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina will run away with those two spots unless Badri comes up with a decent knock here. In the bowling department, Amit Mishra may join in with Harbhajan as India would like to play two spinners. Munaf is certain in the pace line up with Praveen and Ishant fighting for a single spot.

Windies won their last game against the world champions with a huge margin. But there are still big gaps to fill in their performances, both in the batting and bowling department. Darren Sammy would hope that the return of Ravi Rampaul and Adrian Barath would strengthen his team.

But all eyes are focused at the off field antics as West Indies cricket has a knack of being in news for all the wrong reasons, and it’s Gayle again at the centre of it. The peace meeting between WICB and Gayle ended in a stalemate, this means that he will not only miss the last one day game against India but his inclusion in the test squad also remains uncertain. Sources reveal that WICB may go up to the extent of drawing curtains at Gayle's international career, which may leave him playing domestic T20 leagues like IPL for the rest of his life.
