Pieterson says, “Bohut bohut shukriya doston”

Jaipur. Flamboyant English cricketer Kevin Pieterson is celebrating his birthday today with South African pace man Dale Steyn. It is well known that Kp is of South African origin, but it seems that he has a bit more liking towards India and Indian ways.

Responding to numerous Birthday wishes he received from his Indian fans, the burly English batsman decided to answer them in Hindi by tweeting: “Bohut bohut Sukriya janamdin ki Badhaiyan ki liye dosto..”

His fans were delighted to see their star tweeting in their own language, one of the fans tweeted in reply: “@kevinpp24 wah wah kya baat h peter bhaiya. Speakng hindi. Maja aa gya. Alti palti de ghuma ke.”

Kevin Pieterson is quite popular in India, especially after his stint at Royal Challengers Bengluru. He follows Indian stars like Deepika Padukone and surprisingly Yuvraj Singh, whom he famously once called pie chucker. In a popular soft drink ad, he is referred as “Peter Bhayya” by a young boy. Interestingly his display picture on twitter is also of the look he sported in that ad.

The aggressive middle order batsman famous for his on field and off field antics has been taking Hindi classes from his IPL team mates in the 2010 season, all those tuitions are now coming handy for Kp.
