Sachin bowled over by Federer

London. It was a rare sight when two of the greatest sport stars of our times met at the All England club on June 26. Federer’s cricket knowhow left SRT awestruck as he didn’t expect the Swiss tennis star of knowing too much about the game of cricket.

Indian Cricket maestro Sachin Tendulkar met Swiss Tennis legend Roger Federer. Sachin, who has always been a great tennis freak and a self-confessed Federer fan, first saw the 16 time grand slam winner beat Nalbandian from the Wimbledon Royal box and then chatted with him for an hour and posed for photographers.

Sachin was amazed by the knowledge of cricket Federer possessed. Tendulkar tweeted after his meeting, "Spent an hour with Roger Federer chatting on the balcony of Wimbledon Royal box. What a humble guy! And by the way he knows a lot about cricket!!"

However, Mahesh Bhupati had already spilled the beans about the meeting, as he wrote on twitter: "Roger Fed and @sachin_rt gonna meet today..heard it straight from the horses mouth here in the locker room..:)"

And the social networking saga just didn’t stop here, Federer too was delighted after the meeting as he scribbled on his facebook page, "Today was a special day, played a good match and had the chance to catch up with the great indian cricket star Sachin Tendulkar."

Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar are in London these days and they have been recently spotted watching Wimbledon alongside Martina Navratilova.
